Description

JP Awake is a carefully tone-matched preset for the Axe-Fx III, created using Fractal Audio’s Tone Matching feature to capture the raw, aggressive character of John Petrucci’s Awake era tones.

This preset delivers a punchy, mid-forward high-gain sound with a gritty edge and tight low end, perfectly suited to heavy rhythm work and expressive lead playing. Compared to later, more polished tones, JP Awake retains a more organic, immediate feel that responds dynamically to picking intensity and articulation.
